1. Your approval is requested to reprogram $319,000
from the various Office of Logistics Fan's listed below to
the Agency Single Transportation Allotment (STA) to assure
that the planned September shipments of Agency cargo are
accomplished within the scheduled time frame.
2. The itemized savings include $197,000 in Fan
78-1122 (SOC 2540) previously earmarked for road work to be
done by the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation.
We have been advised by the State that a negotiated contract
with a private contractor cannot be consummated by 30 September;
therefore, there is no basis for the transfer of these funds
at this time. The remaining STA shortfall of $122,000 will
be financed from excess funds in the Logistics Services
Division as follows:
