These two announcements relate to our earlier discussions
about our project performance. If you have any questions
about them, give me a call. I n any event, when I next see
you I will amplify certain aspects of0 role.
I did meet with as you suggested. We met on
13 October for about an our and was also
present. In this meeting he seemed interested in two topics
namely, what is and who is and, secondly, a
very general discussion around how the Government and
contractors interact on R&D projects. There was essentially
no discussion of any specific projects.
He did tell me that his staff is just beginning a study/review
of the procurement process in response to concerns raised
by some of the committee members and (I know you must be
aware of this review) we agreed I would meet with him again.
I'll be in Washington several times in late November and early
December and will call your office for an appointment.
