Robinson The Legal Advisor Department of State Washington, D.C. 20520 DD/A Registry 113-06/ In reference to your letter of 7 July 1983, we are prepared, to the extent feasible in concert with our own requirements, to furnish the Department of State with cartographic and printing services in support of the maritime boundary dispute between the United States and Canada. We will be able to provide cartographic and printing support and meet the 12 December 1983 deadline for submission to the International Court of Justice provided we receive detailed requirements and other necessary data in a timely fashion. With that in mind, our Printing and Photography Division (P&PD) must have all data for typesetting and other prepress functions by 10 November 1983. All typesetting and prepress functions must be completed by 30 November in order that P&PD can print and bind your submission during the time frame 30 November through 9 December 1983. These dates are firm in that existing Agency, White House, and Congressional commitments will utilize all of P&PD's resources for the remaining parts of November and December 1983 and January 1984. Any requirements, changes, or reprints submitted after 10 November 1983 will be processed after the Agency's priority production is completed. Under these circumstances, we will not be able to meet the 12 December deadline. Our support for this effort will be rendered on the basis of existing agreements between the Department and the Agency.
