Subject: CAMS2 (P/S) Project Staffing
My letter to you of 13 March 1983 referenced the vigorous activity,
on the part of both our staffs, to obtain the additional staff
required for the CAMS2 Project. As subsequently reported to you
on 29 March, the critical staff, particularly the necessary
programmers, have now been identified. Further, due entirely to
your exceptional support in arranging for optimum processing of
security access requests, the news staff additions are being
briefed into the project even in advance of the plan.

We are not unmindful of the extraordinary efforts extended by many
within the agency, both on your staff as well as in other Offices,
in response to your call for special security processing of new
CAMS2 staff. We recognize too, some of the hardships incurred by
other projects as a result of the decision to give favored status
to CAMS2's current staffing needs; it is our intent to ensure that
such consideration is not needed again, either for CAMS2 or any
other contracts. On behalf of the CAMS2 leadership, and also
please accept our appreciation for I STAT
help to the project's security clearance needs provided by so
many in the past few weeks; please extend our sincere thanks to
all. participants. I again assure you, and your associates, of our
total commitment to CAMS2; we will fully honor the trust you have
placed in us, particularly as manifest by the special security
arrangements you have effected in support of the project staffing
requirements.
