1. This memorandum acknowledges receipt of your request for access to
C-SPAN television coverage of the House of Representatives, grants approval in

2. The satellite antenna in the North parking lot is capable of
receiving C-SPAN broadcasts, but before we are authorized to receive C-SPAN
transmission, OCR must obtain reception approval from the broadcaster. We
have initiated action to obtain this approval and anticipate no problem in
obtaining the ion. OCR will notify your office as soon as we obtain 25X1

SUBJECT: Access to C-Span
1. It is imperative that the Director, Office of External Affairs and
the Chief, Legislative Liaison Division, OEXA, have access to the C-Span
television coverage of the House of Representatives. One of the duties
of both of these positions is to monitor the proceedings of the Congress and
alert the Director of Central Intelligence and the Deputy Director of Central
Intelligence to matters affecting this Agency.
2. It is requested that arrangments be made as quickly as possible
to install the required equipment. It is our understanding that the
estimated cost will be $1,000 for both of these installations.
