We were in complete agreement today
that more needs to be done on the subject
of economic intelligence analysis and
collection. By this note I am asking
Bob Gates to follow through with his
suggestion.to create a committee to study
this topic further. If it appears
manageable., I would suggest a study
completion date for EXCOM review late
in January 1984.
