1. Reference is made to the request on 12 July 1983
that offices in the Directorate of Administration review the
list of Travel Authorizing officials in order to hold the
numbers to a reasonable minimum. It is understood that the
records in the Office of Finance presently list the following

being done at the present time an authority is also
being revoked as he is departing PCS
E is currently an approving officer in accordance
with and an amended designation is being prepared
to include Foreign/TDY/PCS travel withi type
of authorization.
Security currently has an operating budget
for TDY/PCS travel and a position level of 0 The
number of approving officers for travel does not seem excessive
from Security's viewpoint.
