SUBJECT: Weekly Report for Period Ending 15 July 1983
1. Progress reports on tasks assigned by DCI/DDCI:
Iv Tone pending.
2. Items/events of interest:
a. During April - June 1983, the Office of Security conducted six
briefcase/package inspections at Agency facilities in the metropolitan
Washington area. These inspections resulted in nine incidents of possible
mishandling of classified information which required further investigation
and adjudication. Six of these incidents were determined to be security
violations, and the penalties imposed ranged from oral reprimands to a
suspension without pay.
c. The first running of the newly structured course for Career
Trainees who have completed the Operations Course began on 11 July. This
d. The Advanced Intelligence Seminar consisting of 25 students
began on 13 July at the

began classes in French, German, Italian, and Polish languages.

regarding the new building construction.
