SUBJECT: Sources and Methods Speech
1. In response to your telephonic request of 23 June 1983, the Chairman
of the Security Committee, after coordination with COMIREX and the SIGINT
Committee, has applied to the attached copy of your speech the appropriate
classification and compartmentation controls. Overall, the speech is con-
sidered TOP SECRET COMINT. In accordance with discussion with
the text is being considered embargoed until your presentation
completed.
2. Also in response to your phone call, is coordinat-
ing arrangements to videotape the speech and is working with
to draft f remarks to be presented live in conjunction with the
videotape.
