1. The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) in its classified
report on the FY 1984 budget, included a number of requests for actions to be
undertaken by Community elements in response to specific congressional 25X1
concerns. One request, identified on page 2 of the referenced report,
involves computer support to the DDI.
2. It is requested that you implement the instructions of the Committee,
and in future budget submissions clearly identify computer support for DDI
automated projects which must be accommmodated by contractors. You should
fully explain and document in budget justification material the need for
outside assistance. Should your staff require assistance in implementing this
