SUBJECT: Your Meeting with PFIAB, 10 March 1983
1. The following materials are provided for your meeting with
PFIAB tomorrow:
-- Prepared Statement. I on. the NIC Analytic Group 25X1
prepared this miniature World Wide briefing. This presenta-
tion has been a standard part of your meeting with PFIAB.
-- List of PFIAB Members. This list is included for your
in ormation.
-- Recent Community Support to PFIAB. A List of recent CIA and
NSA support to PFIAB are included for your information possibly
to serve as a basis for your discussions.
-- To ics of Interest. I have tried to anticipate other topics for
which backgroun information may be useful to you. I have
included recently prepared Talking Points and current intelligence
items on these topics. The IC Staff solicited from the Community
topics that NFIB member organizations thought would be of
interest for you to bring to PFIAB's attention. The item on
narcotics and two from NSA were the only responses that came in.
-- Recent PFIAB Issues. There are two: 1) PFIAB's report on
the Intelligence E fort on International Financial Issues (see
John McMahon's note that PFIAB was only echoing our comments
of a year ago), and 2) PFIAB letter on the Hostile Intelligence
Threat (this has not been acted on yet).
2. PFIAB requested and was given copies of last week's intelligence
publications on El Salvador. These included several NIDs and a series of
military situation reports initiated on 1 March.
3. Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide for
you for this meeting.
