SUBJECT: Language Capability
At a PFIAB meeting as soon as possible there should be a briefing
on language training, language reserves and the whole question of
language capability in CIA, in the Community, and in the nation,
including the relationship of our language activity to that of NSA,
State and the military, the interplay between them, etc. Senator Schmitt,
a new member of the PFIAB, is keenly interested in this, particularly
in the idea of creating a language reserve and PFIAB in general should
know something about where we stand on language capability and the
progress being made in;;improving it.
