. Thanks for your rapid response to my call for
Information Systems Board and Working Group members.
I am pleased that. all the Directorates recognize
the Agency's need for improved information systems
management and-have fielded their best players. I
agree that Bob Kohler will be a valuable addition
and suggest that OSO take the vacated ODE spot as
an advisory member.
My initial thinking on the Working Groups is
that membership should be flexible, with players
added or traded as issues or expertise warrants,
and that the six groups will select.their own
additional members, chairpersons, and methods of
operation. Since Directorates are not limited to
just one member on each group, you may want to
consider additional representatives from a variety
of components.
Each Board member will monitor at least one
working group and I hope to assign volunteers for
that duty at the first Board meeting, now scheduled
for the week of 27 June. My staff will contact
your representatives directly to arrange the
specific times for the first Board and Working
Group meetings.
