1. The Intelligence Community assessment that you requested
on 20 May 1983 regarding certain equipment associated with the
export to Romania of a Landsat groundstation and an associated
multispectral scanner have been referred to the Subcommittee on
Export Control (EXCON) of the Technology Transfer Intelligence
Committee for action.
2. I understand from the Chairman of EXCON, that 25X1
an assessment has been completed by CIA, NSA and DIA and has been
provided directly to Dan Hoydish, Chairman of your Operating
Committee in time for the Sub-ACEP meeting on 13 June 1983.25X1
