t?Jhen i met with the Science and Technology Advisory Panel yesterday,
the members commented that the "Star Mars" exercis.e.upder
seemed to be operating with minimal intelli ence input,on possible Sovjet
responses. i commented that had done a paper t~~hich had
impressed me on hoar the,S~viets might react and that that paper had gone
to Ikle on the policy side. 4Je ought to think about whether we can provide
more intelli ence input to the technical o-rork being done under the auspices
of the ~~ committee.
