Thank you and Mr. Meese for the recent invitation to
Director Casey to meet with the ninety outstanding high
school students selected to attend the annual Junior
Statesmen Summer School in Washington, DC.
Regrettably, due to the press of official demands on
Mr. Casey's time and his travel schedule, he must decline the
honor of accepting your invitation. Since there have been
increasing demands on our analysts' time, we have had to cut
back on many of our publicly-oriented programs. We are sorry
not to be able to accommodate such a fine group of young
people.
Enclosed are several of our brochures which we hope will
be an addition to your curriculum. We wish the Summer School
program every success.
