Director William Casey
The Central Intelligence Agency
Washington, D.C. 20505
Dear Mr. Casey:
I am writing to invite you to meet briefly. with
ninety outstanding high school students who have been
selected to attend the 43rd Annual Junior Statesmen
Summer School.
Ed Meese recently sent you a letter outlining his
many years of involvement with the Junior Statesmen
Summer School program.
You are cordially invited to meet with these young
leaders for a 20 or 30 minute off-the-record question
and answer session. We could meet with you on Friday,
July 29 or on Thursday, August 11 in Room 450 of the
Old E.O.B. or we could meet with you at your agency,
preferably on Wednesday, August 3. If your staff can
give me a call, I am sure we can arrange a mutually
convenient time.
Last year, nine members of the Cabinet, as.well as
many other national leaders, met with the Junior States-
men students. I know that you will be impressed with
the caliber of these young leaders and the thoughtful-
ness of their questions.
If you are unable to join us, we would depply appre-
ciate the opportunity to meet with a representative of
the Agency, on an off-the-record basis, in the Old E.O.B.
I hope you will be able to join us. We can be
reached at our national headquarters at (415) 327-2131
after 12:00 noon, Washington time.
