at the Agency two weeks ago I was so very pleased to meet you STAT
and various members of your staff. I am writing to express my gratitude
.to you and your staff for the truly excellent program which gave twenty-
five college professors a much better perspective on Central Intelligence
its objectives and successes and failures. The format and content of the
Conference enhanced my understanding and gave me a deeper appreciation: of
the planning and operations in gathering intelligence.
But more than this I name away with a greater awareness of the
dedication which you and your staff have. The morale was excellent,
the enthusiasm genuine: I was impressed by the wholesomeness of,the
Agency. And am so very grateful that you and the staff serve in this
most difficult job of gathering intelligence data.
