b. With respect to the recommendation of the Committee,
stated that the Board of National Estimates considered
a revision of NIE 10-55 during 1956 unnecessary, particularly because
the most important aspects of resistance developments could be covered
in the new Satellite estimate already scheduled for completion in the
first quarter of 1957. After an exchange of views with the 25X1
members agreed to instruct the Board of. National Estimates to include
an updating of resistance developments in the new Satellite estimate, and
to direct the RIC to continue its efforts to study resistance movements
in such greater detail as might be needed for operational programs.
