MEMORANDUM FOR:
SUBJECT DDS&T Cost Factors - Codeword Changes
1. Our preliminary estimates for converting codeword
indicators on computer output are as follows:
A. NPIC - 1.3 man years over 3 months
(Assumes new codewords are same length
or shorter than old.)
B. OD&E - 6 man months over 3 months
(Assume all codewords are data base items.)
All other DDS&T offices rely on ODP.
2. At this time, these estimates are preliminary and
have been informally collected. As the formal estimates
are submitted, I will forward them to you.
3. This entire memorandum in classified CONFIDENTIAL.
