Nationalized US Property in Cuba
Owners of US property nationalized by the Castro
government have submitted claims to the Foreign Claims
Settlement Commission totaling $3.2 billion -- $2.5
billion in corporate property and $700 million in
private property. Of this amount some $1.8 billion --
$1.6 billion in corporate claims and $200 million in
private claims -- have been certified by the Commission.
