SUBJECT: OC-AMD Staff Notes 9-13 July 1984 (U)
1. During the week, Panel N experienced a gain of one with no
losses. Panel N is currently 48 technicians over authorized
ceiling. However, this figure includes technicians who are in the
process of leaving Panel MCN, attending sponsored academic training,
participating in the OJT program, attending initial EOD training,
and serving in assignments other than panel MCN. With these
catagories deleted, Panel MCN is 8 technicians understrength.
During the same period, Panel MCD experienced one gain with one
loss. The Panel is currently 45 employees over authorized ceiling.
There are 110 EOD students in training, while 20 TCA personnel are
in processing, preparing for their overseas assignments. Taking
into account the non-production status of EOD students, Panel MCD is
currently 85 personnel understrength.
4. OC-AMD has circulated an Agency-wide special one-page
vacancy notice for Electrical Engineers. Even though the immediate
response has ben minimal, we are hoping that this notice will
generate future inquires.

6. An OC Notice has been issued on the status of the Banding
Task Force meetings on the development of criteria for the
implementation of the banding pay system.
7. Representatives from Office of Personnel and Administrative
Management Division traveled TDY to California to the Navy China
Lake installation where they were briefed on the Navy banding pay
system. This trip provided information which will be useful in the
development of criteria for the implementation of a banding pay
system for Panel D personnel.
8. Deputy Chief, Communications School,
has been reassigned to OC-FND effective 16 July. No candidate has
been nominated to fill the Deputy Chief position.

the instruction which will be incorporated in the present KG-84
course.
12. On 9 July, the D/CO addressed the most recent class of
Panel D and Panel N students The

and exchanging personal introductions with each student.
