Mr. Charles H. Conrad
Executive Director
National Capital Planning Commission
Washington, D. C. 20576
Dear Mr. Conrad:
Thank you for the copy of the Water and Sewer Plan and Program 1970
forwarded to us with your letter of 9 November 1970.
After a review of the plan, we feel that it provides the National Capital
Region with a sound, rational basis of water and sewer development in the
years ahead and fully agree with its policies.
When implemented, it would continue to assure adequate and reliable
water and sewer facilities necessary for our ongoing activities.
Sincerely,
R. L. Bannerman .

present status, future goals and objec-
tives and present plans being develope
to meet the future goals and objectives
of the Wash. Metropolitan Area water
and sewer systems. None of the plans
and programs directly effect the Hqs.
site.
Regarding the water. supply to the
Hqs. site, the supply line is adequate
to meet all presently known future re-
quirements, however, no determina-
tion has been made of the willingness
of the water supplier (the City of Falls
Church) to sell additional amounts of
water. In FY 1970, the City of Falls
Church's system used an average of
13 million gallons of water per day
with the Agency utilizing an average
from this system of 0. 4 million gals.
per day.
With regard to the sanitary sewer-
age system serving the Hqs. site, the
present pumping capacity and pressor
line are at near capacity. Any increal
sewerage load will necessitate enlarg-
ing the pumping station capability and
the laying of another force sewer line
