Takes any folder or system
Requires no records conversion. Adapts to any filing
system. The cradles of any units can be made
to take any folder, combination of folders, card
trays or special size media.
Not only requires minimum aisle space,
it eliminates need for much of it!
Because it provides Z rows of files in 1,
Conserv-a-file~Iactually eliminates the need for as
many aisles as were formerly required. Further,
since no drawer pull-out area is required, 30-inch,
even 26-inch aisles are perfectly adequate.
SPECII'ICATIONS:
Closures: Doors, locks, dust protectors of any type I+'2le Cradle Equipment: Dividers, adjustable

Suspension System - Duter Cradles:
Suspension tracks are made of anodized aluminum spe-
cially contoured to match the rollers of the cradles.
Suspension System -Inner Cradles:
Full suspension (FS) Suspension System. Latter system
equipped with 21-strand plastic coated airplane control
cables which insure perfect tracking. Eliminates the torque
normally encountered when rolling out a conventional file
drawer. The elimination of this wear factor adds to the life
of the suspension system twenty-fold over conventional file
cabinets.
Stability: Conserv-a-fileYcannot be tipped over even
if all the outer cradles are full and the inner ones empty.
No anchoring is ever necessary.
Safety and Silence: The ends of the outer cra-
dles are cushioned with polyurethane foam for silence and
safety. No metal ends ever touch. Hands pushing one cra-
dle cannot be injured even if the adjoining cradle is acci-
dentally pushed against them.
Anti-.Frict20n Bearinys: All metal-to-metal
contact is eliminated by employing anti-friction bearings
equipped with tires of a space-age plastic. They're prac-
tically impervious to wear and reduce pull-out and lateral
movement effort to ounces.

A. 'TERMINOLOGY: The follo~wn;; terrns should Ibe used in all proposals, orders, request~~
for infori~nation, etc:.
1. SECTION -one stack of cr;~dles, either in the rear or front.
2. TIERS -the number of cradles in height of a specific section.
3. UNIT -total number of sections.
4. REAR CRADLE OR SHELF ~- those F"S cradles or stationary shelves in they rear sections.

9. INTERMEDIATE PANEL-- an ~upriglht making i.ap sectlions between end posts. Intermediate
panels are punched on both sides for cradles or stationary shelves,.
E3. FILING CAPACITY: The capacity of a Conserv-a-file ~ is based on the linear inclh
capacity. This means the total number of left to right inches of each FS cradle, stationary
shelf, and lateral cradle. Specific diirnensions of in~dividuq~l cradles or shelves are as follow:>:
1. FS Cradle - 331/z" 2. Stationary Shelf -- 351/x." 3. Lateral Cradle -- 351/x"

D. 'WVE:IGHT FLOOR LOAD FAICTC)R OIF CONSE:IRV-A~~FNLE=~
1, Because there is less steel for morE; capacity than Is the case with conventional drawer files, it 'is
possible to increase the capacity within a ,given area without adding to floor load.
2, The ratio of steel to content in ConsE^rv-a-i~ileuis approximately 1:1 in letter size files as against 2::t
in drawer files.
3, You may approximate floor load by ~ut'ilizin~g the following factors:
