Approved F.jr Release 2001/09/04: CIA-RDP86-00RA4R000200050002-8 The Central Intelligence Agency is concerned with the problems presented in the subject plans and programs for water quality and housing. 2111= The which substance of the Areporta has been considered in our long range plans itvoc~ include the - possible consolidation of Agency activities at our site in Langley, Virginia. The accomplishment of this goal is within the scope of these reports and we are in compliance with your comprehensive plan for the development of the National Capital area. We continue to support the objectives of the Metropolitan Council of Governments and the National Capital Planning Commission in planning fbr adequate housing and water and sewerage facilities. Findings and proposals set forth in the subject reports do not effect any current plan or program of the Agency at this time. Housing of Agency low and moderate income employees is of continuing concern to the agency. The recognition of this problem by the Council of Governments and their progress toward its solution is encouraging, especially in Fairfax County, Virginia in that the majority of Agency employees reside there. The scope of work and progress of the Metropolitan,MW= Washington Council of 1 Governments is commendable and we look forward with interest to their forthcoming revised and updated 19T2 reports.
