Approved Zpr Release RDP86-00K4R000200050007-3 Mr. Charles H. Conrad Executive Director National Capital Planning Commission Washington, D. C. 20576 SUBJECT : Metropolitan Washington Council of Gover.-inents Reports: (1) Water and Sewerage Plan and Program - 1971-1972 (2) Housing Policies and Programs for Metropolitan Washington - 1971 REFERENCE: NCPC File No. CP-06 Dear Mr. Conrad : The Central Intelligence Agency is concerned with the problems. rogress and solutions as presented in the subject plans and programs for water quality;ate sewerage, in the Metrc bolitan Washington Area. We continue to support the objectives of the Metropolitan Council of Governments and the National Capital Planning Com- mission in any planning for adequate housing and water and sewerage facilities. Findings and proposals set forth in the subject reports do not, at this time, effect any current plan or program of the Agency. Housing of Agency low and moderate income employees is of continuing concern to us. The recognition of this problem by the Council of Governments and their progress toward its solution is encouraging especially in Fairfax County, Virginia in that the majority of Agency employees reside there.
