SUBJECT: GSA - "Blue Ribbon Panel" -- Property Review Board
BPR Land at Langely
1. On this date at 10:00 a.m., Mr. Curtis A. Roos
(Assistant Commissioner, Office of Real Property Disposal,
Property Management and ' Disposal' Service, GSA) called the
undersigned to advise that GSA was prepared to initiate a
survey of the Bureau of Public Roads property at Langely.
2. Mr. Roos indicated that he was calling' because he
was aware of our (CIA) interest in the land'and was also
aware of the briefing the' undersigned had with Mr. Walter
Moreland (Deputy Commissioner, Property Management and'
Disposal Service, GSA) on the subject. (See OL 0 3870
memo for the record dated 30 June 1970 - re briefing on
29 June 1970). NOTE: At this briefing Mr. Moreland was
provided with copies of pertinent correspondence between
BPR, the Agency, and GSA, relative to the BPR land.
3. Mr. Roos stated that the survey would no doubt be
fairly long and protracted and he felt it would be appropriate
to start it as soon as possible. The undersigned, cognizant
of the Building Planning Staff's progress in developing a
"usage plan" did not consider it appropriate to suggest a delay.
4. The undersigned expressed appreciation to Mr. Roos
for advising us of GSA's intended action and suggest that
at some appropriate time a briefing regarding our proposed
usage plan might be advisable. Mr. Roos agreed.
