Abstract As 16 out of 33 pattents with posthemorrhagic
anemia were treated with blood transfusions,
they each received 10 ml olf 10 perce&u FaBr
before every transfusion, while 17 of the pa-
tients did not, receive the Br reparation, The
phagocytal activity of leukocXs wid the com..
plement's titer were examined in both groups.
Three hours and 24 houra, after -the first trans-
fusion, phagocytosis (P) was increased in the
first g"oup for 50 percent of t-he c4ses; it haid

Abstract: cessation of the malarial attacks, under the
effect of antimalarial therapy, the leucocyte
count increased again and the patients' con-
dition worsened. Suppurative processes, occur-
ring during lymphadenosis, caused, in one pat-
ient, a 5 week long remission, in another- the
general condition deteriorated and the patient
died with manifestations of progressive anemia
and leucopenia. It is the opinion*of the authors
that suppurative and inflammatory processes occur-
ring in the course of leukemias may produce tem-
porary remissions in patients in whom the hemopoie-
tic function is preserved; in other cases, associ-
ated suppurative processes lead to total destruc-

ABSTRACT: In order to clarify the influence of impurities on
the forzation of current

strongly decreases it. A study of the temperature dependence
