tion m~Aima is also investigated. At 77K., when the correction for incomplete degener-
acy can be theoretically made, the results yield a quantitative experimental confirma-
tioa of the theory of the zeroth spin maximum in a transverse Mgnetic field.. The
Hall constant'vms found to oscillate little at 4.2 and 20.K,, but extrema were observed
in the longitudinal ma(metic resistance at 77K. It is proposed that these extrem
are the result of the LIUMCIently large number of ttansitions with spin flip between
the zero Landau sublevols as 66 rellult of the scattering of electrons by phonons,
