Sigmab is Increased from 6o to 105 kg/m~n2 by hot rolling (135-2000) and from 60 to 121 kg/mm2 by cold rolling. To explain the reasons for the varying degroes of hardening, an X-ray study was made of the fine structurn, deformation aging, hardnessp and rmount of martensite deformation. During stages of deformation up to 50%. tha blocks were larger after hot rolling card L 238)7-65 ACCESSION NR: than after cold rolling, With hot rolling to reductions more than 50%., the type 11 stresses are smaller than with cold rolling but the blocks are more broken up, Deformation aging was evaluated by a decrease in the gamma lattice period and was identical for both hot and cold rolling. With increase in the temperature of hot rolling the amount of martensite deformation formed decreases and becomes equal to zero at 2000 (point Md). Thus the authors explain the fact that steel hardens more after cold rolling by the blocks brGaking up, increase in the density of the dislocations measured by X-rayt and the formation of martensite deformation, 3 figures, 3.1 literature titles, Yu, Andreev. ~Acassiou nt. The NATI laboratory made an extensive research on two of such pumps; PSB-4A for 4 cylinders and PSB-6A for six cylinders engines. Conclusions made in regard to their dimensions and weight show that these pumps are not as good as other known foreign distri- bution type pumps. This material, which is contained in cement clinker, determines the character of the processes of structure formation during the first stages of the interaction between cement and water. ror this purpose the kinetics of structure formation and Card 1/4 of the chemical interaction in suspensions of C 3A and its The Influence of Calcium Chloride on the Processes SOV/20-127-4-26/50 .W - of Structure Formation in Aqueous Suspensions of Tricalcium, Aluminato hydrate C3A.aq (3CaO.A120 3* 6H20) was investigated. These substances were dissolved in solutions of calcium chloride ef different concentrations. Per such investigations it is best to use mixtures containing from 2 to 10~o binding agents and 96-90i"'l filling material (ground quartz sand or calcite). Concentrated suspensions were produced by soaking these mixtures. This made it Possible to destroy the crystal structure in the suspension immediately after solutJon. The samples were kept above water and the corresponding zolutions of calcium chloride. The processes of structure formatton in the suspensions werc characterized by the increase of plastic streni;th. The results obtained by these experiments are shorn by 3 diagrams. The quantity of bound calcium chloride pre3ent after the action ras the same in all investigated suspensions and amounted to 0.75 mol CaCl 2 Per 1mol C A . Radiographical and thermo- graphical investigations shNed the following: In all suspensions in which the quantity of calcium chloride suffices for binding the entire existin6 C 3A and its hydrate one and the same oompound 13 formed. The kinetics of the chemical binding of calcium Card 2/4 chloride depends to a considerable extent on the composition The Influence of Calcium Chloride on the Processes SOV/20-123-6-26/50 of Structure Formation in Aqueous Suspensions of Tricalcium. Aluminate of the suspension and especially on the concentration of the calcium chloride solutions. In the solutions of hydroaluminate interaction at first develops more slowly than in suspensions cf C3A after which, however, the rate of setting increases, and this reaction is in all cases completed already on the sesond day. In suspensions of C 3A (which may be of higher concentration than calcium hYdrochloroaluminate) the formation of hydrochloroaluminate at first develops very rapidly, but by the addition of nedium. quantities of CaC12 the process becomes more slow. This may be explained by *the decelerating influence of hydrochloroaluminate microcrystals which were formed in the case of high degrees of oversaturation and which formed protective films on the surface of the original C 3A-particles. The spec~ial features of the kinetics of the interaction bet-teen C 3A and chlorate and calcium chloride determine also the special features of structure formation processes in these suspens-1ons.
