ABSTRACT: Other authors (Ref 1) observed that the half-wave potential was
shifted by 160-190 mv in the discharge of PbO" ions on a
m6rcury drop. oathode- - in the presence of aomi aromatic amines.
In the present case the authors investigated the discharge of
similar ions, the TeO; ions, on the above electrode in the pres-
ence of aromatic aminese, The polarization curves were recorded
by an ordinary visual polarograph4 The capillary tube had a .
dropping period of I sec. A saturated calomel electrode served
as anode. The potential values are given with reference to this
electrode. The potential curves of-the TeO0 ions in the indif-
ferent solution of NH 401 and NH4 OH showed I distinctly marked
potential half-wave at -0.75 v and passed through the maximum
at -1.6 v. The potential curves were investigated in theafore
mentioned solutions in the presence of anilinep toluidine, and
