Chem. v. If 275, 1954~ Z9. Elektrachem.. ve 59, 1955), who showed tbat,at low concentrations the fluorescent spectrum-of pyrene solutions, shifts to longer wavelengths with in-. icreasing'concentiation and changes from a line spectrum into a con-, present experiments differed from the earlier nuouis spectrum. The h.ones in that lower temperatures were used. The solvents used were. _bard. 1/3 L,12901-65 ACCESSION NR: AP4047186 benzene, undecane, tetradecane, and hexane. The choice of solvent had a very strong effect on the.,-results, inasmuch as,the relaU.ve intensitie's.of the long*.Wave and short wave radiation and the con- centrations at which tbe-transformation occurred varied.greatly.. ..These differences may be due to occ.urrence of strong static.-interac-- itions between the m6lecules.of the pyrene with increasing..concentra- tion.of the solution. In the frozen hexane solution these interAc- tions are w.eakest,..they are -strongest in benzene, and occupy, an intermediate Position, in undecane and tetradecane. The nat0re of,.~- these strong interactions-is not so clear. These interactions.should- 'be weaker in liquids. The results cast: doubt on the dif fusion 1-wave mechanism proposed by Forster and Kasper to explain the lonc 'glow Of rene, -aince the same effect was observed in frozen solu- Py tions, where thereliB practically no diffusion. "Prisadki k maslam i toplivam", 1M., Gostoptekhizdat, 1961, 304 - 310) TEXT; Research has established a relationship by which the quality requirements for lubricating oils can be approximately calculated for various different types of engine under various different operating con- ditions. It was found that crankcase oils can mainly be classified from the results of engine tests on special singlecylinder units. The quality indices of the oils are best estimated as a whole in numerical values on a four-unit scale. ~Abstracterls note. Figure I shows the simpl-i-fied circuit diagram for explaining the principle of a compensator. Figure 2 shows the principal circuits of one stage of the PK-70/0.3 compensator. It contains three transistors P6B, P2B and P4B, Measurements showed that the e.m.f.'s have dif- ferent intensities with different lines, -and therefore two, three or four stages are connected in series. For example, a two-stage compensator is used for e.m.f~16 up to 36 volts, while the four-stnge compensator is used for e.m.f.'s up to 70 volts.
