ABSTRACT: For automating the deceleration process of cars on
the Chiatura-
Perevisi cable tramway, an electronic time relay is used; the
relay cuts off
the driving induction motor and switches on the regular
brakes. As the charge
of a relay capacitor depends on the voltage derived from the
motor slip-rings,
the relay time depends on the motor load. Tests have revealed
an accuracy of
the car stop within+ 0. 3 m.

Fast charged particles of
cosmic radiation cause a nuclear eva-

poration in lead. The
disintegration products are investigated

in a magnetic mass
spectrometer of the Alikhanyan type (6850 0)

in 32oo m sea level.
An impalse-like spectrum of TF-mesons was ob-

tained which was
caused by stars which were formed by cosmic

charged particles of -
3o BeV energy~ The obtained spectrum shows

an exponent T - 1,46 +

distribution of positroas at'stops and decays of A -mesons in
copper. The ~x_
mesons with momenta-df 0.35; 1.051 1-5, and,2..O Bev/o.were

-10.083 and 0.50-tO.09. The relation obtained between the
polarization degree of
#,-mesons and their momenta is briefly discussed.

TEM The--authors determine-the i-mpulso spectrum of T mesons
generated in-lead generators by the charged-component of the
cosmic
radiation. The measurements were carried out with the magnetic
mass spectTo-
meter in a height of 3200 m (Aragate-hill). The devices and
the methodology
of the meaBuroments are-desoribed in (Ref. 1,2). The thickness
of the lead
generator was varied between 10 - 25 am. Below the magnetic
field there were
6 graphite absorbers and 1 copper aboorber. The negative T -
mesons were
identified with respect to their nuclear interaction in the
absorbers.
Figure 2 shows the hystrograme of the 2' - mesona. Further
figures show
the impulse spectra under consideration of different marks for
the choice

described by a
power function and that the great differences in the data of
the exponents
of these power functions given by several authors can be traced
back to the
fact that the 1U - mesons were asserted according to different
marks.
