ABSTRACT: 60 workers engaged for 1 to 13 yrs in welding and
straightening of automobile bodies using a lead solder and
suffering
from light or moderate cases of lead poisoning were treated in a
clinic
with aerosol inhalation of Ca N82 EDTA. For a period of 7 to 11)
days
patie~'n-tsrec ived daily two aerosol inhalation treatments of 5
ml of a
10% Ca Na.2 EDTA solution; 100 ml of a 10% Ca Nag I-MTA solution
(7 to
10 g) were used for a courso of troatmont. A t orapautic affect
expressed in the form of a reduction or disappearenco of
intoxication

patients, was quickly drawn into the roapiratory passages, was

'ABSTRACT: An optical method for Improving photograpUc images
has been suggested
~which consists of placing an amplitude or phase filtnr between
the object and the
;light path to the camera., thus changing the properties of the
image itself. Both
self-luminous and nonluainoua ob.Jects are considorod., and the
exposure distribution
of a point source and its frequency-contrast charactoriutic for
an aberration free

A simple experiment is porforr4id in an attompt to change the
characteristics of tile

ABSTRACT i This work was undertaken because of imdequacy of
existing data., the
inadequacy being due ohief3,y to the low spectral resolution
obtained in measuring

The authors suggest improvenents in the imtrument byt 1)
decreasing the numbet
of mirrors to diminish loss in the focusing system and in
thermostatic CDntrolj
2) addition of a second gray body, to speed U10 calibrationj 3)
inoreasiAl the
stability of tho inorndeseent source; and ~j using a
monochromator of g3mater
luminosity, Obaervations included scanning the spectrum at
various anglim above
the horizon (from 0 to 900)., scanning at a fixed wave length
for a given angle and
azimuth., and mecsuring the radiation'drop at sky-cloud
interfaces and with clouds*
It was found thst accurate cAiLibration is very essential for
precise results . A
number of grapha have been I~Lotted to illustrate the spectral
distributions of
wave lengths ranging from 46' to '4*5 millimicrons, These values
have been
compared with a number of data of other authors and found to be
in good agreemente
It is thoughts however,, that Japroiments in -the instrument as
suggested by the
