Automatic Control of Heating Conditions of Coke Ovens.
the basis of the results obtained (Tables 2, 3), the
following
conclusions were reached: 1) The stability of mean-shift
temperatures in both batteries was the same. 2) W.'"Lth the
autontatic control, the necessity for manual correct"ons of
the
supply of heating gas was decreased. 3) The stabi-ity of the
distribution of ressure in heatin[,, systems iii both
batteries
was the same. 4~ With the automatic control differences
between maximum and minimum consumption of heat decrease.
5) On the battery operating with the automatic control varia-
tions in the coefficient of excess air between the individual
shifts decrease. There are 3 tables and 2 figures.

are characterized by satisfactory surface active properties. Su -
stitution in the formula of fatty soap of natural fats by

in an amount of 20%, causes no lowering of the surface active

such as Savarensky, Silin-Bekehurin,
Klyucherev, Geyman, Gulkin
and others. The schematically
outlined cond4tions for formation of
the oil deposit in
the Samara Bend are more or less typical for

considerable measure by data from successful laboratory

ABSTRACT: Oil accumulation in Samarskaya Luka Is associated with
the Pashi.yskiy, Shugurovskiy, und Famennian slol (beds) of the
Upper Devonian and, by the natare of this relationship,
with the entire system of Carboniferous rocks. Solid
bitumens are found in the Uppe.r Carboniferous, the
Permian and, at a number of places, the Middle Jurassic.
From the character of the PaleDZOiC oil in Samarskaya
Luka it Is conclftded that the oil and bitumen have a
common origin. The distribution of oil fields on the
northern border of the Zhiguli is explained by the
