suffering from rhel=atio arthrosis processes. The germs
were
also isolated in white mice and chick embryos for soine

patients. Therapy with tetracyclin grovp antibiotics
resulted
in marked improvements. The actual role of rickettsia or
para-
rickettsia as causal agents or as factora reactivating a
different
pathologic process is still not clear.

pharmacological scrooning of a. now group of medicinal* plontat
Acanthus
longifolius, Anagalis arvensis subsp. conrulea, Anagalis arvensis
subs.. ;ipica,
Asplenium thichomanes, Cannabis sativa, Capselle bursa -pautoris,
Oardus nuitane,
Digitalis farruginea, Digitalis lansts, Diotamnue albus, Heraclaum
sibiricum,
and Sonocio jacobea. For the purpose of comparison the authors
used, as before,
tho plant Leonurus cardiaca which hav already been extensively
studied. 'rho
surface parts of the plants (herbs) were used in the experimonts.
Tests
carried out on albino rats - show that 1 ) upon electroconvulsions
(supramBximal
electroshook seizure), relatively well expressed anticonvulsi'vo
activity is
shown by Carduus nutans, Capsella bursa pastorio, Heracleum
sibiricum, and
