Title Pulse amplifier with two-channel feedback Periodical Radiotekhnika, 10, 46-50, Jul 55 Abstract 0. B. Lurlye first suggested that tie performance of video am- plifiers should be evaluated on the basis of their transient, characteristics, i.e. tiaie dependence of the voltage at the output. when a single-function signal is appled at the input. Calculations and charts are presented 'to show the advantages of a pulse amplifier with two-channel ivegative feedback, which secures high voltage gain with short build-up time and peak duration, for correction of the amplifier's time characteristius. The author con- cludes that a video amplifier with multi-channel feedback Is far superior to those presently used c::rcuits with inductive correction, and that it should eventually finLA a wide application. TEXT: Relations between transient characteristic paraneters of a linear system and the arrangement of polos and zeros of its complex transmissio'n fac- tor are investigated. The resultn of investigation are applied to the problems of analysis, selection of the opt:~mum parameters and synthesin of linear Bystems with a finite number of concentrated const.ants, The necessary monotonous con- VX/ ditions of transient characteristic are formulated as theoremis. These theorems enable one to study the naturG of the transien-. process by singular points of the transmission factor or to arrange the singlilar points in isuch a way that the Card 16 84490 S/112/5,9/000/o14/067/'085 AOr)2,/AC01 On Analys.',s and Synthesis of Linear Radiotechnioal Chains by 1~ransient State Parametern desired nature of the transient process could be obtained. Fcrmulae for cal- culating the rise time, delay time and overshoot of transient characteristic are derivvd, using the poles and zerosof the transmission factor. It is shown that there are 2 families *of curves on the plans of complex variables. One family hav a property that when the poles and zeros of transmission factor are shifted along the curves of this family, no ch&,lges in rise time and overshoot of transi(int characteristic take place and only the delay^ time changes. The LX other family has a similar invariant property ka relatlon to the delay time. Methods of synthesis of linear systems with con.,entrated constants by a given form of signal are listed for the following demands: 1) the least distorting systlem, '?) forming system, 3) system with the optimum paraireters with re- spect to vignal transconductance, 4) system performing selection by the sig- nal shape,, Some practical application of these methods are indicated to Cal- culation of video pulse amplifiers (an amplifier with a simple correction, an amplifier with a 2-pole composite correction circuit, an amplifier with a Card 2/-3 84490 S/112/!i9/OOO/Oi4/067/085 A052/A(*1 On Analysis.and Synthesis of Linetw Radio,;eohnical Chains by Transient State Parameters composite correction without attertuation, a 2-stage amplifier with 4 simple cor- rection). TITLE: Synthesis of a Linear Waveform Selection System PERIODICAL: Radiotekhn'ika i elektronika, 1960, Vol-5, No.12, PP-1879-1884 TFNT-. The article constitutes an application of the method developcd by the author mer,3) for the separatlon of a useCul signal from noise when the time parameters of the signal and noise -ire give.n. The time characteristics of two pulse signals may be given either graphically or by eiluation. A second problem considered is the separation of a prescribed pulse signal from white naise. Except for the white no:ise the time characteristics of the pulse signals must be expressed in terms of a sum of damped exportentials. A method for passing di.rectly from the graph of the time characteristic to the Laplace transform ef the approximating sum of damped exponentials is -given in the author's earlier work (Ref.3). The solution to thd problem will be a finite linear system with lumped conetanta, with transfer function of the same form as -the Laplace transforms of the signals. The measurements were conducted or Septt-irt,8r 11, 1957 with the aid of a photoemulsion pile at an.altitude of 36 km (geomagnetio latitude 620N). Differential eaergy spectra were obtaire: of o(--partiolesp nucleus groups 0, N, 0; P - Si;.P - Fe, and Li, Be ana in the energy range from 150 to 800 M8v/nuol,aon4 The shapes of the speotroj for all groups except Li, Be and B iv 'ere the ijame.
