Abstract : The characteristics of the higher nervous
activity were studied in sows of tho Lithua-

andowod with well dovolopod stimulative and
inhibitive processes, milic production and
fertility were highor than in swine which
belonged to a weaker type (70.5 kg and 18 pig-
lots as compared to 47 and 9, respectively).
Experiments which wore conducted on cows,
calves and nursing piglots in ordor to study
thoir higher norvous activity by establishing
an alimentary motor reflex in rosponso to a
place (a fooding-trough), showed that with
the assistance of this method It Is possible
to singlo out animals with difforont stimula-
tive and inhibitive procosses and a different
alertness of cortical -processes. The calves
of the experimental group which wore given 3

influence on the character of the let down, of milk and
its
fat content, while in the case of the cow Proknznitsaj
with
weak and inert nervous procasses, the curves of the
distrib-
ution of fat changed considimbly. When the pulsation rate
of the milking machine was increased to 2C0 pulsations per
minute, the cow Prokaznitsa was 50% behind., and when the
speed was reduced to 20 pul;3ations per minute, she was
about 3(4 behind in the let-town of milk and fat content.
In
the cow Zvezdochka, the inexcase of the pulsation rate
brought about 4% increase o*.' the milk yield and 47%
increase
of the fat secretion, and tho reduction oftho pulsation
rate
lowered the milk yield and :.at content of the milk by
2 - 3.1%.

Title A video-frequency amplifier circuit with feedback (Author's ab-

Abstract The author's analysis of one of the most widely used video -
frequency
amplifier circuits shows that, in contradiction to the conclusions
drawn by 0. B. Lurlye (Zhur. Tekh. fiz. 20, May 1950), it is
possible to obtain 42% greater amplification from a circuit with
simple correction than fxom the amplifier with feedback being
discussed. Diagrams. Two references: USSR, 1949, 1950.

Title Pulse amplifier with two-channel feedback
Periodical Radiotekhnika, 10, 46-50, Jul 55
Abstract 0. B. Lurlye first suggested that tie performance of
video am-
plifiers should be evaluated on the basis of their transient,
characteristics, i.e. tiaie dependence of the voltage at the
output. when a single-function signal is appled at the input.
Calculations and charts are presented 'to show the advantages of a
pulse amplifier with two-channel ivegative feedback, which secures
high voltage gain with short build-up time and peak duration, for
correction of the amplifier's time characteristius. The author
con-
cludes that a video amplifier with multi-channel feedback Is far
superior to those presently used c::rcuits with inductive
correction,
and that it should eventually finLA a wide application. Author

characteristic
are derivvd, using the poles and zerosof the transmission
factor. It is shown
that there are 2 families *of curves on the plans of complex
variables. One
family hav a property that when the poles and zeros of
transmission factor are
shifted along the curves of this family, no ch&,lges in rise
time and overshoot
of transi(int characteristic take place and only the delay^
time changes. The LX
other family has a similar invariant property ka relatlon to
the delay time.

signal from noise when the time parameters of the signal and noise
-ire give.n. The time characteristics of two pulse signals may be
given either graphically or by eiluation. A second problem
considered is the separation of a prescribed pulse signal from
white naise. Except for the white no:ise the time characteristics
of the pulse signals must be expressed in terms of a sum of damped
exportentials. A method for passing di.rectly from the graph of the
time characteristic to the Laplace transform ef the approximating
sum of damped exponentials is -given in the author's earlier work
(Ref.3). The solution to thd problem will be a finite linear
system with lumped conetanta, with transfer function of the same
form as -the Laplace transforms of the signals. An input signal
consisting of two pulse signals with Laplace transforms in the fnrm

additional

is not pomsible. In considering the viroblem of white noise, the
author starts from the fact Vaat a linear circuit with white noise
