Abstract The results of field experimants on the use of
fertili-
zers are discussed when raising saplings in high moun-
tainous climate; these were mde with British oak,
white mulberry, the smoke tree, the honey locuBt, arbor

presses including multJ-platten presses. 4 Soviet types
are listed with total press loads from 800 to 2 400 tons -
plat-ten sizes from 1 050 x 1 050 to 2 400 x 1 400 mm,

press, model P40?A, is intended for pressing artificial

Abstract : The authors emphasize the expediency of constructing.
long-distance transmission lines with intermediate
substations connecting power transmission with local
distribution systems. The raising of transmitting
capacity obtained by the use of synchronous condensers
iii further increased by a judicious use of the excitation
regulators and by the compensation of the condenser re-
actance with static capacitors. The self-excitation
conditions of the dondensers are established with the
help of Gorev-Park equatioi.-is. Twelve diagrams, 2 Russian
references (1953).

the transmitted capacity., The author presonts results
of an inveptigation of the influence of changes In the
generator parameters through which he obtained a 25%
Increase of transmitted power capacIty. He also found
