TITLE: Use of Welded RinSOfor Components to be Manufacturer]
by Cold Extrusion

ABSTRACT: The authors describe the advantages of using welded rings
instead of seamless steel pipes or solid discs used in
the manufacture of components by cold extrusion. They
deal with the material to be used, the heat treatment and
the structure of the material after heat treatment (see
the microphotos, Figures 7-18, P 524). Figure 19 shows
photographs of various components produced by extrusion
from ifelded semis. Cons�derable sav�ngs �n matev�al and
costs are claimed and it is stated that components manu-
factured by this method are at least as good as those
produced by machining. There are 19 figures and
4 Czech references.

the planting of false acacia with blogroups for its rival

cited of the investigation of plantations of acacia shoots
in the village of Alshocentivane, which in 32 years reaebod

ABSTRACT: The principal features of the studied antiperthite-like
intergrowths are given. 1) These intergrowths are dis-
tinguished from true antiperthites by the absence of a
systermtic pattern of microcline and plagioclase inter-
growth. 2) Commonly the antiperthitic microcline is
oriented precisely the same as large individual micro-
cline crystals; as a rule, these latter have intensively
resorbed plagioclase. In places, plagioclase with
intergrowths of microcline occurs within crystals of
Card 1/2 microcline. 3) Almost all the antiperthite is rimmed

by albite. 4) Optically the antiperthitic microcline is indis-
tinguishable from the mAcrocline of the matrix, with optic angles
within the small range of -600 to -620. 5) In thin sections, the
antiDerthite is found more frequently in sections cut parallel to
the foliation of the gneiss than in sections cut normai to this
plane. These data indicate that some of the antiperthite-like inter-
growth may have formed by replacement of plagioclase by microcline
in specific sections of the rock. The formation of antiperthitic
intergrowths of such features may also take place during recrystal-
lization.

ABSTRACT: Interbedded garnet-biotite and sillimanite-garnet-bio-
tite gneisses, locally occurring in small folds, are
abundant in the pegmatite-vein region of "Zapadnaya
Litsam in the northwestern part of the Kol'skiy (Kola)
Peninsula. The sillimanite-garnet-biotite consists of
Ilagioelase (An ) 35-45%11 qu rtz 20-30%, blotite
0-30%, garnet 12IR, sillima a 1
nite 3- 0%, and occasion-
ally microcline; the accessories are magnetite and ti-

blastic, in places fibro$ranoblastic. The garnet-biotite gneiss
consists of plagioclase (An,30,37) 30-45%, quartz 30-35%, biotite
15-30%, garnet 3-15%, and an ceasional grain of sillimanite; the
accessories are allanite, mgnetite, titanomagnetite, and rutile.
The texture Is granoblastic, and rarely lopidogranoblastic. In
outcrop the 9~11imnite-garnet-biotite gneiss is characterized
by coarse grain size, porphyroblastic texture, unequal grain
size, and irregular weathering surface. The garnet-biotite gneiss
is characterized by fine grain size and by a regular and rather
smooth weathering surface.
