and in foreign
countries for construction of chemical_equi~meht, and
describes-in detail
foreign and domestic methods for-weldin~ such iaaterials,
especially the,
method developed by .the Vft-in Braat-slava- &nd its
application at the ZVU in
Hradec Kralove. According to the .Z method f6r manual arc
welding) the
ends are carefully bevelled and fittedg 36'that the gap
angle on the side
with the stainless-steel cladding is always 900, and that on
the unclad
side depends on'the tiokness of th6'base material. At first,
the unclad
side ismelded with an E 44.83 electrode, and the same
electrode is used to
apply the first bead on the-clad'side.' This bead must be
thin and concave~
and should only tduch9 biit ndt'eAtirely covek the stainless
layer. Subse-
quently, a stabilized, austaiiitic'18/8-M391) electrode is
used to apply
the first stainless bead (which must not reach the level of
the base metal)

and another stainless cover bead'. Other methods use combined
manual and
automatic welding or automatic submerged aro welding from both
sides. Also
inert-gas welding is suitable for the clad side. The author
goes on to list
practical experiences with the ;4Z welding method which led to
some improve-
ments in-woheating, bead application electrode diameters, etc.
All used
electrode5 had basic coatings, and it was found that E 391
stainless 16/a
electrodes.can be replaced by B 891 electrodes or by the novel
austepitic
VUS 18/8/2Ti electrodes. Based on the gathered experiences, the
ZVU in
Hradec Kndlovddeveloped a standard method for manual and/or
automatic are
welding of carbon-steel sheets clad with an austenitic_18/8
layer. This
method is also based on underlaying the stainless beads with
beads fromIcar-
bon electrodes (with a maximum content of 0.1% C) which'must
not come into
contact with the stainless cladding. Welding of thicker sheets
(12 - 14 mm)
is started from the stainless-side~ welding of thinner sheets
(6 - 12 mm)
from the carbon-steel side, And stainless layers of 6 - 8 mm
thick sheets
are welded-with one bead only. Applying argon-shielded welding
on the stain-
less side and automatic submerged-are welding on the
carbon-steel side, the

ZVU saved 30% in wages and 60% in grinding c9sts. The ZV'UP
also made sub-
merged-are welding tests using Czechoslovak ZAZ 3 and VUS
CrNi fluxes as
filler material. However, no dependable technology couldJe
found. Pinal-
ly, the author describes welding tests performed it the Z
with copper-
clad steel tubes, including metallurgical studies of

observed on grain boundaries, leading to the conclusion that
copper used

Abstract Analytical data is given on the Cu content in the
chernozem,
brown forest and podzolic soils of the republic. The general
Cu content in the tillable layer of the chemozem soils and
cultivated brown forest soil varies from 20-30 m6e per kG*,,
and from 10-12 in the podzolic soils, The amunt of soluble
Gu grows weakly as one goes from the chernozem soils to the
brown forest soils =d is lessened in the podzolic soils; the
percentage of soluble Cul conputed by the ratio of the gross

TEXT: The appearance in an omegatron of a usually large flow of
H 3 ions
at 10-4 _ 10-7 tam Hg pressures is considered.. The*value of
this flow is calcu-
lated and experimentally verified. The calculatioh is made on
the basis of the
study of the behaviour of non-resonance ions in the omegatron
source. The possi-
bility is shown of determining small concentrations of
deuterium by measuring
the flow of H 2D+ions which can be formed in collision
processes.
