Abstract: On the basis of an investigation of 150
sera from
animals and 48 from men, a conclusion was made as
to the specific character of the reaction of con-
glutination (RC) during brucellosis with the
administration of a specific antigen, through
which the titer of RC is higher than during BSR.
The comnlement-absorbing antibodies (CAA) are

antibodies with a titer of 40 and higher. In the
Initial stages of the formation of antibodies in
vaccinated heifers, the titer of the agglutinins
was the sarne as the titer of the CA.A., or lower;
but during the weakening of the formation of anti-
bodiesp It is significantly highcr, During chronic
human and cattle brucellnsis, higher C1-.A were also
found. In view of Its Inexpensiveness and high
sensitivity, RC Is a convenient diagnostic reaction.
