vestigate the ~-radiation of a terbium fraction separated by chromatography from
the products o a tantalum spallation reaction ind�iced by 66C)-Mev prot,:~ras, The
change of 7 -radiation intensity in the X30 - %~00 kev range, 'as well as the inte-
gral decay curve measured on a gas-disetiarge counter, pointed to the presence of
Tb151, Tb15~ (or Tb151Y), Tb153, Tb155~ and Tbl~, Tb157 was not detected, the most
intense radiation of Tbl~~, Tb155 and Tb156 isotopes was investigated at length.
The results from measurements of 1 ~-c:oineidences do not contradict the assumption
of a positron decay rf '_'~15~ nuclei and, moreover, permit the assumption of the
existence of a 510 - ?_00 kev ~ -cascade, while pointing to tY3e absence of a ,r

TEXT: Gd151 and Gd1~' decay schemes were studied by the method o4' ~' r-coin-
cidences, The source t.rsed was a Gd151, 15~ prepara~ion obtained as the decay pro-
duct of Tb151, 15j from a terbium fraction by way of secondary chromatographic se-
paration (the terbium fraction was effected from a tantalum target bombarded by
66G-Mev protons), The gamma radiation in the 110 - >50 kev range was recorded by a
coincidence scintillation gamma-ray spectrr~meter, Tlie resulting energy and gdmma-
-line f.ntensity values fit data supp:I.led by othr~r authors, T}ie relrative intensities
of measured r ~=cascades are indicated, The absence oi' strong -coincidences in
the Gd151 spectrum is explained by the existence, in Eu151, ofdlevels with signi-
ficant lifetime, as is confirmed by the results of lifr~time measurements. ~

Abstract:3n experiments on rabbits it was found that antibiotioa
strepto~ycin, tetracycline, and kanamycin administered in a
daily dose of 50 mg for 14 days simultaneously with a typhoid
vaccine did not interfere with the formation of serum antibodies.
An inhibition efr'ect interfering with the formation of serum
antibodies was found, to a limited extent, after the administra-
tion of streptomycin polymsthacrylate, and rarely after strepto-
mycin, when its apnliaation started only after the secondary
antigen impulse. The immunization effect of the typhoid vaocine
in mice was not influenced by the administration of antibiotioe
