TEXT: Brightness of daily sky on the Sun's almucantar was measured simul-
taneously at two points e = 57 and 600 at the Mountain - Observatory of the Ast.r,-.N-
physical Institute', AS KazSSR, and on the Kumbel"mountain. A visual photometer
and a phQtoelectrical photometer with selenium photoelement were used. Trans-
parency coefficients (P), optical thicknes5es of atmosphere ( V) and scattering
indicatrUces ik(e) were-determined from the measurement data. It. is noted that
transparency coefficients over the lowland and mountains differ only slightly.
