these spirochetes penetrates into the louse hanolvmph. And
it is exactly
during these first, 12 hours that the guinea pigs remain
susceptible to in-
f ection with the louse suspension. This indicates that the
morbidity of
guinea.pigs due .. to injection vith infected lice during
the first few hours
following the feeding of lice -with infected blood was
attributable to the
mechanical transfer of spirochetes together -with the..
still.undiges,ted blood
of the patient in the stomach and intestine of liceej

ABSTUCT The economics of introducing anew production plant is
discussed. A criterion for the comparative effectiveness of
production equipment is proposed, called the coefficient of
relative effectiveness. This is defined as the product of the
change in labour cost, the labour cost at the beginning of
the
period of comparison and a factor expressing the reduction in
labour cost as a result of familiarivation - all this divided
by the expenditure on the new plant. An example is given
when equal labour cost economies are accompanied by unequal
relative eff'ectivenesses in two instances. There are 2
figures and 3 Soviet references.

calculated magnetic relaxation time in ferromagneties. The estimated

the
experimental data for high temperatures.

ABSTRACT: A ferromagnetic sample lodated in a variable
magnetic field.
absorbs part of the field energy; the main reason for this is
the adjustment time of the equilibrium of the internal spin
system, which is different from zero, and the adjustment
time#
which is also different from zero,,.of the equilibrium
between
spin system and lattice (spin-lattice relaxation). In the
present paper it is shown that for an isotropic
ferrommagnetic
medium near Curie (Kyuri) temperature it is possible to
establish a law for describing ferromagnetic resonance if the
thermodynamic potential is known in concrete form. The non-
equilibrium state of the system can be characterized by a
thermodynamic potential which depends on the non-equilibrium
thermodynamic parameters. The author assumes a ferromagnett
without hysteresis to be in an external magnetic field, while
