The concentration of the components and the saturated vapor was determined spectroscopically from the intensity of the absorption spectra using a izethod previously described (Ref- erat, Zhur Fizika., 1956., No 31 8738) The formulas oivuparm, are applied to the calculation of a syd'aWn Card 1/2 CoiSMNIST OHINA / Physical Chemistry. In rabbits under urethan anaesthesia It was found that 0,03-0.12 rng./kg. of I caused a fall of blood pressure, most likely of peripheral vascular origin. A dose of 0.03 mg./kg. caused increase in excitability of the vagal endings and increase of the depressive action of ACh on blood pressure. Large doses JO.2-5.0 mg./kg.) usually caused a considerable increase of blood pressure, the curve resembling that'after adrena- line. I in a concentration of 1:50.000 inhibited the frog heart, causing a decrease of the amplitude of contractions. A concentration of 1-20.000 caused, in addition to the decrease of amplitude. a decrease of rate. At 1:10,000 an irreversible arrest of the heart in diastole took place. Poisoning of the heart with atropine did not affect its sensitivity to 1. 1 caused on the isolated frog eye a dilatation of the pupil in the threshold concentration of 1:5.000. In the rabbit, I after being introduced into the conjunctival sac In a concentration of 1:3.000-1:5.000. caused contraction of the pupil and a moderate drop of the intraocular pressure after an initial transitory rise. A concentration of 1.1.000-1:2.500 gave a considerable drop of the intraocular pressure, usually without initial rise. I in highly toxic and lethal doses increased reflex excitability in white mice. often causing con%ulsions. The opposite was ob- served in the frog (decrease! of reflex excitability). Intestines, bot in situ and iso- lated, showed after I a considerable increase of pendular movements. After the action of I on the intestine, ACh added to Tyrode's solution did not cause any in- crease of pendular movements but either inhibited them or had no effect. The device has been used in'the control system for the steam !turbine generator of the Staro-Beshevsk State Regional Electrical Power Station. Pap- ler tape with a width of 80 mm is used to record parameters which are entered in two icolumns in order of increasing numbers. The left column records parameters which de- lViate from the norm while the right column periodically records an assigned group of :parameters. The time is recorded above the parameter column. Each line shows the i iparameter number (from 000 to 777 using a code with bass 8) and a value of the parame- iter (using a decimal code from 000 to 999). The parameters which have deviated are Irecorded while those falling with the permissible range of values are omitted. In or-1 'der to save time and to decrease the dimensions of the form, the deviated parameters_ !can be recorded without providing'ampty spaces for tbo omissions. When compiling re Card lj~ UDC: 64.142.62 '7ACd WC-4 - 6036064 ;cords, tape sections are arranged in such a way that successive time values of each 'parameter appear on one line. The printing of the deviatod parameters and periodic ':recording is carried out using time intervals which are determined by the operator do-, ;pending on specific requirements of the process. A block diagram of the electronic portion of the system is presented and discussed. The dimensions of the device are ,10S0 x 610 x 450 m. It records 1200 parmeters per minute, can handle almost an un- 'limited number of recorded parameters and Is highly reliable, Or.ig. art. has: 3 SUR CODE: 09/ Card 2/2 L o8g?o-67 EWT(d)/EWP(v)/EWP(k)/NWP(h)/ W (1) ACC NR: AP60Z9793 SOURCE CODE: UR/0119/66/ooo/00810023/OOZ4 AUTHOR: Bil'o, P. M., Hashinostroyeniye, 196S, TOPIC TAGS: metal bending, metal tube TRANSLATION: Plastic bending of thin-walled tubeJ is analyzed and the relation for determining the wall thickness after bending and the displacement of the neutral axis is presented. The neutral axis was displaced during plastic bending to the side of the concave portion. The amount of neutral axis displacement linearly depended on the retio of the average radius of tube radius r to the radius of bending I? and on the strain hardening properties of the tube material. Upon increase in the ratio r1B, the amo.-mt of displacement is increased, upon increase of the relative strength modulus, i, is decreased. The neutral axis displacement results in a change of wall thickness of the tube. With an increase in displacement, wall thinning on the side of the convex portion of the tube increased while the thickening of the concave portion of the tube decreased. 3 figures, 1 tables L., Kochenova. The animals were irradiated for one hr and killed immediately thereafter. Nisel's method was used in the investigation. The tigroid substance was found to be in different states up to complete fusion in cer- tain neurons. Changes In the shape of neurons,, the state, position, and tinctorial properties of the nuclei and nucleoli were found, The neurons were affected by radio waves In different degrees, depending on the functional properties of the nemrons and their ontogeny. In determining the functional state of the neurone from the histo- logical point of view, the author makes a point of taking into consideration the stdLe, Card 1/2 ACC N91 AP6DD5939 position, and tinctorial properties of the nucleoli,, In addition to changes in the state of the tigrold substance and the nuciel, The degree of structural changes in the neurons during the-action of a superhigb-frequency field on the organism may be a reliable indicator of the injurious, tffec.t of radio va:vea. Equations relat- Ing to the absorption coefficient and mean lifetime in the excited state with the dielectric properties of the solution are suggested. In solutions# strong short-range Interactions due to exchange bonds occur in particular cases only, whereas remote electric interactions of a dipole nature are always present. The VDF turning lathe (Figure 1) has been modernized by lifting the front chuck and by installing a two-spindle head on the lathe. The upper spindle makes 200, the lower 600 rpm. The centering opening of the clutch casing is made by means of a special device (Figure 2), which is also used for the center- ing of the crank bearings. There are 2 figures.
