"Investigations of the Occurronce and Aflatoxin-Producing Capacity of Aspergillus
Flamus Strains in Fodders Produced in Hungary"
Budadest, %Iagyar Ailatorvosok Lapja, Vol 21, No 8, Aug 66; pp 352-354.
Abstract [Authors' English summary, modified]; In 1~64-65 authors investigated
307 5amples of fodder produced in Hungary (78 bran, 77 barley, 87 corn, 28 oat,
11 alfalfa-meal and seed grits, 8 pea, 8 soybean, 6 sunflower seed and 4 rape
samples) for the presence of Aspergillus flavus. This mold could be isolated
from 118 samples. The aflatoxin-producing capacity of 64 of these strains was
investigated in cultures on Czapek-Dox medium at 280C for two weeks. It was
found that, with the exception of bhe rape samples, a considerable number of
the strains of a group of samples were aflatoxin-producing. Of the 64 strains
tested 43 produced aflatoxin in quantities ranging from 0-3 to 15 PPm-

PERIODICAL: Gornyy zhurnal, 1958, Nr 3, PP 17-21 (USSR)
ABSTRACT: The presently applied mathod of consecuttive openings and
preparation for the exploitation of new levels in the mines
of the Krivoy Rog basin has many defects and involves large
expenses, slows down production, etc. The author proposes
the introduction of the methcd of opening by trin levels.
Essentially this method consists of simultaneous prepara-
tions of two adjacent levels and in their consecutive exploi-
tation. But the fundamental Bdvantags of this method is the
possibilityof increasing the duration of the preparation of
next loweradjaoent levels. Iloreover, there is no neel to

9 members of a family ingested infected pork and all contracted trichinello-
sis. Of them, 7 had to be hospitalized but no death occurred. The laboratory
tests, nade for dia.rnostic purposes are reported. The diagnosis was made by
the demonstration of larvae in the feces of the patients, by serological
tests and by the testing of the meat which was consumed by all. Epidemiolo-

authorities. Secondary foci of infection could not be found. 24 Eastern

ABSTRACT: An Author-Certificate has been issued for a self-calibrating
wire-type wave gage consisting of two linked electrodes series-connectee
to a power source and a recorder, e.g., an oscillograph. For the
automatic recording of scale traces on the 6scillograms, the electrodes
are constructed in the form of metal rods with alternating bare and

Abttraot-4 The structure and mechanism of formation of the c mplex compounds
C'3H2CIOP~and C?HC110 NP2, resulting from tho reaction betireon aceto- and
chlloro~coton-.Urilos and phosphorus pentachloride were studied. During the
formation of these complexes one viole of nitrile reacts with three moles ot
PC15. The complex obtained from acetonitrile has the composition C2HC113NP3
and that obtidned from chloroacetonitrile., 02CI14NP3. Thus, at 200CI
acetonitrile and chloroacetonitrile veact with PM 5 to form hexachlorophosphorates
of trichloro~iho3phazo-l-chlorovinyl-2-trichlorophosphonium and trichlorophosphazo-.
112-dichloroN-inyl-2-trichlorophosphonium. The latter is reduced with red
phosphorus or mothyldichlorophosphite to trichlorophosphazo-1,2-dichlorovirql-
2-dichlorophosphine. The hexachloTophosphorate of trichlorophosphazo-1,2-
.dichlorovinyl.-2-trichlorophosphonium reacts with sulfur dioxide to form trich'Loro-:

operation more difficult or in certain circumstances even imposs-
ible. The oscillation frequency and intensity depend upon the fol_
lowing factors: The characteristics of the compressor, the length
and shape of the inlet and outlet tubes, the acoustic load at the
end of the tubes and the steady flow parameters. A theory of the
compression processes~is presented, considering the compressor
with the attached-network as an acoustical distribution system by

substituting an equivalent active non-linear resistance for the
compressor, acoustical distribution systems for the tubes and lo-
calized resistances for volumes and chokes. Ass=J.ng a small in-
crease of the parameters of flow, the equations of hydrodynamias
and the state equations are reduced to a linear form corresponding
to a wave equation including dissipation forces. The non-linearity
of the compressor characteristic can be included in the boundary
conditions, The solution of the quadrupole wave equation is obtai-
ned by Fourier's method. It contains the dimenBionless complex fre-
quencies, whose real part represents the frequency of the oscilla-
tions and the imaginary part - the logarithmic decrement of attenu.-
ation characterizing the stability of the system. The stability
was investigated for a system containing one outlet tube loaded
with an arbitrary acoustical resistance. The phase-plane of the
system was established, and from it the-regions of static and dy.-
namic stability as well as instability were determined. A similar
investigation was carried out for a compressor with a single inle-V
tube, and also for a combination of both the inlet and outlet tu-

buted in the tubes connected to the compressor increases the sur-

TEXT: The subjects treated are effect of flight conditions
on the dynamical characteristics of the engine; synthesis of optimum
parameters of control devices; analysis of the control system of the
engine operating under variable external conditions; synthesis of
structural diagrams of self-tuning units varying the parameters of
the correcting devices. It is stated that optimum transition process
under all flight conditions can be obtained by varying the parameters
ofethe correcting circuits of regulators of the number of revolutions
and gas temperature. The choice of optimum parameters of the correc-

containing functional elements and search elements; these units are
practically identical for regulating circuits of both the number of
revolutions and gas temperature. CAbstractor's note: The authors use
