A,bstract: The problem of the use of combinations of corticosteroids, gold, aspirin, chloroquine, butazolidine and placebo in the treatment of the disease is presented based on the discussions during the Con.-ress on Rheumatism in Rome. The hazards of the less conservative treatments are stressed althow-h the absolute rejection of them is judged unfavor- gh doses of corticoids has no ably. The prolonged treatment with hir place in rheumatology accordino to the author. ACTH stimulation therapy, local administration of corticosteroids, gold, chloroquine therapy are evaluated. The general effect of salicylates on the body, the action mechanism of gold and the probability of a retarding effect of corticosteroids on heart lesions are discussed. Alternate use of various drugs and the selection of the treatment according to stages of the disease are recommended. 1 Hungarian, 23 Western references. They describe the resonance method applied in measuring the modulus and find that the above relationshipis linear.
