TEXT: Statistical analysis is given of nuviirous tests to detorm nel
the probability of occurrence of nonBimulteneous short circui ts - I.
Tests were made with ungrounded neutral point and with the valu; of;t
damping close to the one met with in practice in medium voltage
networks at 10, 15 and 30 kV. Low oil-con~ent circuit breakers were,
used, tests were made at 100 MVA and damping time constant = 0.1
see. It was found that at a given angle of the instant of make it
'is impossible to determine the probability of occurrence of non-
simultaneous short circuit because it depends on the design and
:condition of circuit breakers as well as circuit parameters. Maxi-
mum possible values of currents can be'determined from circuit pa-
~rameters and the ratio X Maximum irandient peak factor is

2.37 without damping. The effect of nonsimultaneous short.circuits
on buBbar forces is considered and a maximum increase of force of
24% was found compared with simultaneous ahort circuit. A similar~
increase was found to be 40.85'a in.the case of current transformers.
The increase of force on isolators was found to be as for busbars
if the isolators are mounted in a straight line with conductors.
Other forceslact on contacts and are as for current transforrmers.
Sp*ecial consideration is given to circuit breaiers and their clas-'
..sification in dealing with asymmetrical breaking. The author pro-
poses to divide circuit breakers into two groups, one with easier
:and the other wiih more onerous switchin duty depending on asym.-
.9
'metry and damping time constant. There, are 6 figures.

The author discusses the value of the existing old-city centres and their build-
ings. The importance of these historic items to the cormton treasure of Polish c5lture
is enormous,, and bears witness to our national share in the cUture of all mankind.
In order to make the best use., from the town-planning point of iriew, of old city fea-
tures there are several methods and wayr, in plastic and preservation technique. It is
6f paramount importance that those objects, above all, which are of historic value anet
the condition of which call for preservation and reconstruction, should have the bene-,
fit of such methods.

TITLE: Ceramic capacitors for radio engineering
PERIODICAL: Electrotehnica, no. 9, 1960~ 321 - 327
TEXT: The article presents some studies conducted by ICET on
producing dielectric ceramic naterials from domestic raw mater-
ials for P 100 and N ?.50 capacitors. The material for the P
'100 capacitors was developed by-ICET on the basis of steatite
from the Hunedoara region. For the 'N 750 capacitors, the ICET
de;',reloped a material consisting of titanium dioxide, zinc ox.-
Ide and zircon.-i*lAm oxide. The main components of this material.
called "Ti 11", (N 750) are TiO-j. ZnO, with additions of Zr-02,
ki. 0 `uid SiO~. The main properd~ties'vary as follows:_. t9s

trie capacitors for 24 hrs in distMed water the losses slightly
Ircreased, tqe sr.,ape of the curve, however, remaining the same.
The Joss values were maintained within the limits admitted by
.International standards. The distribution of the values of the
dielectric losses was measured w-Ith a group of 400 capacitors,
again resulting in a pointed curve. It is concludEtd that the
manufacturing of ceramic capacitors from domestic raw mater:la.i.s

is in accordance with the need for a rapid development of Ru-

foreign products, proving the possibility of manuf6cturing-
these capacitors in Rumania. There are 10,figures 4 tables

concluded tha-t-the above conditions are not

drying instead of 60)was proposed. In the
