TITLE: Device for measuring dielectric losses and dielectric
constant of solid polymer dielectrics
PERIODICi;1,L: Zavodskaya laboratoriya, v. 28, no. 2, 1962, 234-2306
TEXT: El and tanj can be measured in a wide temperature range with a
setup based on the -,tandard measurii.g device. The measuring circuit was
connected with the s-,.andard-signal generator rCC-17 (GSS-17) through
attenuator -'~C-l (AS-1) and yp-1A (UR-1A) or YP-2 (UR-2) broad-band
amplif4 he measurin7 amplifier 28JIM (2811,' ) was used as resonance
--Lcator. The resonance frequency was checked with a YBP- (UVR)
wavemeter. The first modification of the measuring circuit, shown in
Fig.. 1,a, s designed .7or use in a wide temperature range. The dielectric
sample i~ placed into the -ap of measuring capacitor 2 containing no
mobile e'~ctrodes. Insulation 3 is made of a.high-frequency ceramic
material Thermostat 5 ensures constant temperature of loop 6, induction
coil '7, ietector crystal 8, and screen 9. The second modification, shown

Device ior mea6uring dielectric losses ... B124/B101
in Fig. 1,~, is designed for measurements at room temperature, ?,-ith
trimming condenser 10 being as close as possible to the gap of the
measuring capacitor, thereby permitting accurate measurement of the sample
capacitance. Plane parallel sample disks with a thickness of 0.001 to
0.005 mm in excess of that of the gap between the electrodes were used,
the diameter of which was calculated from D 0/
