Abstract: [Authors' Hungarian su=ary] The sudden death of 200 alcoholics
has been investigated as to the age of the deceased, tho duration and
de,,-,rcc of alcoholism, and the cause and circumstances of death. The average
age was 47.8 years, the distribution: 168 male, 12 female. Violent death
was more prevalent (122) than death due to natural causes (78). Am c
on the
66 who committed suicide, active, often brutal means of death were frequent.
AmonG the 51 accidental deaths, 36 were due to traffic accidents. Man-
slau-hter took the life of 5. The majority of those who died of natural
causes succumbed to changes in the circulatory organs. Diseases of the
respiratory organs were also numerous. kn Western references.

material of the department, 50 cases of traumatic dislocation were collected
and reviewed. The conclusion was reached that dislocations during childhood
occur more frequently than indicated by the literature data. The thera-
